It wasn't a particularly impressive year for books this year, but just the same I could have included a couple other worthy entries on this list! In all I read 46 books, and six of these were Harry Potters.

Honorable mention I -- I saw Brokeback Mountain and Harry Potter IV this calendar year,
and although these are generally considered 2005 they would have otherwise been contenders.

Honorable mention II -- Mad Hot Ballroom was my favorite rental.
