Last Wednesday we headed out on another trip, this time to Kansas City. We arrived at the hotel at 5, and were whisked away five minutes later to the bachelor and bachelorette parties. On Thursday we helped to decorate Drexel Hall in the daytime, had the reshearal, and went to the rehearsal dinner. Did I mention this was my first time up as bridesmaid? It was so much fun!
For the rehearsal dinner we went to a local favorite of my brother's called The Other Place. I was so impressed with their creativity throughout the weekend, and I particularly loved their idea for gifts -- flavor infused vodkas! They made 18 different flavors at home. We brought back pineapple and raspberry.
Anyway, Friday morning was a mimosa breakfast ceremony in Kansas. Then I stayed with the girls to do hair and make-up through the day. Then we left for family pictures, and to the hall for the Missouri ceremony. (If you're wondering, one ceremony was more official than the other, since my husband was officiating and Missouri isn't such a big fan of the layperson.)
The wedding was beautiful, and it was so great to see so many friends and family. I was especially touched that we got to spend so much time with Dave and Lori on the weekend of their marriage, and I'm glad we could help out here and there.
Dave and Lori, here's to you!!
