Update on Logan and Ada
Hi everyone -- thanks for all your kind support and inquiries over the last few weeks, we are so touched by everyone's interest! Logan and Ada are both flourishing, and well along the path to come home from the hospital. They've been gaining about an ounce of weight every day -- Logan is now 4 pounds 6 ounces, and Ada is 3 1/2 pounds. They look so big already! They are wearing all the newborn outfits that our friends and family have given as gifts, and they look cute as buttons.
Their assistance with breathing has been consistently reduced, and now they are on minimal oxygen. Because of the high altitude here, it's likely that they might be sent home with oxygen for a few weeks. Our hope is that they might be sent home in the next 3-4 weeks, so we have a lot of preparation still to do!
Ada and Logan have had another couple visits from immediate family, but we are holding off on their introductions for just a few more weeks. In the meantime, mommy is concentrating on setting up the nursery this week, and mealtime practice sessions...

Looking Back on Pregnancy
Looking back on a couple photos taken shortly before my hospital stay, I can't help but agree. Yikes! Until things got serious, Dave and I were calling my toes Little Smokies...

Family Update
Everything is continuing to go well for us since lightening struck. I have been home for several days now, am feeling well and my blood pressure is already moving back to normal. Dave is back in the office, with his hands full as usual.
Logan and Ada are showing signs of progress every day, to our great relief and excitement! Their assistance with breathing is now minimal, and they are eating more and gaining weight. Fortunately, I've been able to provide the hospital with plenty of breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
In the midst of all this, Dave and I have managed to find a buyer for our place downtown, and are under contract for a regular house in the suburbs. I guess it's unavoidable, huh? Now that we're resolved to go, the sirens here seem louder, and the crazies are just a little crazier. We're looking forward to the extra elbow room and quiet. We're moving in 2 weeks, hooray!
