Leslie's Birthday!

Leslie and I had a great time kicking around town for her birthday yesterday. The highlight for me was taking Logan and Ada to the breakfast-themed play area at Cherry Creek mall. Amazingly, they both happily crawled around without any concern for the dozens of feet whipping past their noses...

I haven’t been able to capture Ada’s giggle yet, but this belly laugh from Logan is my favorite video yet. We were playing peek-a-boo around the kitchen island, and he was loving it!

Most recently, I just downloaded this AMAZING song that you should check out, “I Only Have Eyes For You,” by Jamie Cullum. I heard this on TV recently and thought it was the most slow and smoldering, beautiful, memorable song I’ve heard in ages. If you need something new for the old iPod, look it up…

The First Great Summer Movie

I went to see The Hangover on Sunday, and laughed so much that I came home and sent Dave to the theater. This is my favorite flick of the summer so far (beating out Wolverine, Star Trek and The Brothers Bloom handily). But be advised – it’s juvenile and dirty. It’s kind of a guys’ movie. If you didn’t like Old School or Superbad, or 40 Year Old Virgin or I Love You Man, don’t bother with this one. And really, stop going to see such childish movies.

Another New Baby

Congratulations to Dad and Mary, proud new owners of… real estate!

They are joining herds of Iowans and other snowbirds in taking advantage of the real estate market lows in Phoenix. Knowing winters in Iowa, I can’t believe they waited this long! For any of you looking for a toasty warm vacation in winter, they are planning to rent it out when they’re not there.

And I’m sure they would make you a bargain for a REALLY toasty vacation right now…
