I am not a sports fan. I would be perfectly happy never knowing who is playing, or how it went. But as a student of pop culture, and general
fun, I like the Superbowl commercials - particularly ones of upcoming summer movies that I haven't heard about.
After 37 years, I think I've figured out how to skip the football and cut to the chase.
Here's a
great listing of the 10 best Superbowl ads. Done. Matthew Broderick is my favorite of course, Ferris Bueller's Day Off is one of the all time greats. And this reviewer picked up on some details I missed, so read the snipit first.
I thought the Chrysler ad was really beautiful too, and makes me want to go buy a funky Ford Flex right now. (Although the idea that America is down and out rings a little hollow to me; I think that down-and-out America is still the greatest place on Earth to live in the history of humankind.)
