The Wedding Post

It seems like ages since I've written. Over the last six months, not much has happened to me other than the wedding plans. My health benefits at work changed a little bit. Dave had knee surgery. And I've been trying to keep up with books and movies, I've been spending a little private time with Harry Potter.

Ok, but the wedding, that's it. So instead of writing lots of entries about what a diva I am, here are the highlights in one!

I tried on some crazy dresses, the most expensive was a $6800 Reem Acra. Not the one I chose, fortunately.

The hardest part was finding the chapel, it felt like we looked at local churches forever without finding anything quite right. We found the right one on 2/15, so it seemed like a very close call.

The easiest part has been the photographer, she's awesome and is headed for the stratosphere, so we're lucky we booked her when we did! I can't wait to see the results.

Our friends threw us an engagement party, and it's amazing after five years that some of our friends have never met each other. I was so moved to introduce those near and dear to my heart.

Dave had a great bachelor party (I heard), and my shower is coming up, I can't wait. In fact it seems like we have a long string of dinners, parties and gatherings to look forward to, and I'm looking forward to all of it, every minute of it.
