Twin Cities Getaway
This weekend we visited Wendy and Todd in Minneapolis. We were there less than 48 hours, but packed in a lot! We saw lots of neighborhoods, ate out, and even took some time for Wendy and me to do a little photo shoot at the house. The highlight for me was a surprise -- a ride around the lakes in town on tandem bikes. It couldn't have been more pictureque, in fact Dave and I were bemoaning Denver for most of the weekend. The timing worked out well, Wendy is back in Iowa now to help her family with the fall harvest.

Bemoaning Denver - why?!
In Dave's view, Denver has the mountains, but as a stand alone city it doesn't hold up too well. When you're biking around a big beautiful lake with little white boats in the middle of town, Wash Park looks like kind of a sad effort. But of course, the tables turn in February, huh?
I see, well we need to talk more about this next time we see you. After all, we're considering Denver as a longer term home.
Let's definitely talk! We did love Minneapolis, but I would argue that people can be happy anywhere if they're trying. I'm sure we'll end up staying in Denver for the climate if nothing else. :)
